The Diamond

The Diamond

A diamond is the hardest mineral created by nature. Its name derives from the Greek word “Adamas” which means “invincible.” It is the most desirable precious stone in the world and it has become a symbol of eternal love. It is pure carbon formed millions of years ago into crystal, 140 to 190 kilometres below the surface of the earth. A diamond shines more than any other precious stone. It scatters and reflects more light than any other natural material. Diamonds are extremely rare. In fact, only 5% of the rough stones extracted from the mines can be suitable for jewellery use.
To define the quality of a diamond, ISTANBOULLI GIOIELLI utilizes the commonly used basis of the four C’s: Cut, Clarity, Carat and Colour. At ISTANBOULLI GIOIELLI, Vace Istanboulli himself and a team of highly trained professionals carefully examine each diamond individually, using the latest technology, to ensure that only the best diamonds, with the best sparkle and brilliance, are used in our creations, always guaranteeing the highest standards.
